Heart of Awareness Insight Meditation Community (HoA) was organized in 2011 under the guidance of Karin Miles, a long-time meditator and student of the Dharma (teachings of the Buddha) in the Vipassana (Insight Meditation) tradition. Karin's commitment to meditation practice spans more than 30 years, twenty of them under the guidance of senior dharma teacher, DaeJa Napier.
In 2016, Karin Miles retired from an active role, passing leadership to Janet Reichert, who currently serves as director of the center.Read More
